Hey! I’m Johnny.

Growing up homeschooled, my social circle was small. I had one friend who I saw on Sundays. I went to his house on occasion, and while I had the option to invite him to my place, his SNES and copy of Donkey Kong Country beat out my Pogs and rollerblades. 

It wasn’t until my parents caved and bought me a PlayStation that I really understood the magic of games. I replayed the first stage of Crash Bandicoot a hundred times without knowing about the checkpoint password system, but I never got bored. And that was just the beginning. The Xbox 360 changed the game (literally) for everyone, making online games THE place to be. It became easier to bond over my love of Halo with other gamers - I felt like I belonged. 

I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since. From bonding over a Monsters Inc. Happy Meal toy on the playground at my first “real” school to making lifelong friends through Destiny, Overwatch, and Valorant. I’ve seen first-hand how games create real connections. Some of my online friendships are so deep I jokingly say they made me an uncle (shoutout to all my friends’ level 1 babies).

Now my aim is to create spaces where gamers can connect. Whether it’s a casual player who just wants company, or someone looking to nerd out about their favorite build, there’s a community online for everyone. I know games can feel isolating, but they don’t have to be.

I’m here to help build the kinds of communities that make Sundays, game nights, and Discord interactions feel unforgettable.
